Election of WNC Community’s Board of Directors

Three seats will need to filled in January 2019 on the Board of Directors.  These three seats are presently being held by:

David Sutton – three year term

Manuel Hooper – one year term

Steve Plemmons – three year term

All three incumbents have expressed a desire to run again.  Anyone wishing to also run, will need to submit a request in writing by either yourself or another member in good standing.  You must be a least 18 years old, willing to attend monthly meetings and increase your knowledge of credit unions and their structure through online webinar attendance.  You must submit your nomination no later than December 19, 2018 to staff at WNC Community Credit Union.

Federally Insured Savings

The National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund is the federal fund created by Congress in 1970 to insure member’s deposits in federally insured credit unions such as WNC Community Credit Union. Administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), this provides our members with $250,000 of insurance on their Shared Savings Account backed by the full faith and credit of the United States. Credit union members have never lost a penny of insured savings at a federally insured credit union.
